The Aggregate Producers of Wisconsin (APW) will be hosting an important informational event on Wednesday, January 19 at 1:00 PM in the GAR Room in the Capitol (417 N). This event will feature specialists and representatives from the aggregate industry to discuss the state of our trade here in Wisconsin.

Now more than ever our industry has been facing unparalleled and overburdensome regulatory constraints, which far exceed state and federal oversight. These additional burdens have made operations increasingly difficult, and at times have shut down operations altogether. Knowing Wisconsin is poised to receive large sums of federal monies to aid in our infrastructure throughout the state, how can we help to assure that these monies are spent efficiently and economically for our taxpayers?

Rocks build Wisconsin. Whether it is a road, bridge, sewer system, hospital, school or house, the first step in building are aggregates. Aggregates cannot be manufactured. They must be mined and can only be mined in places where the aggregates already exist.

Please consider attending this important informational session on what is one of Wisconsin's most fundamental and valuable resources.
