Policy Development/Committee Representation: APW provides an industry
voice on a number of agency committees engaged in various levels of policy
development and implementation. Participation on such committees enables us to
have input early on in the policy making process. Producer members volunteer
their time and talents to serve on these various bodies and volunteers are
always welcome.
Annual Convention: APW organizes an annual convention featuring
presentations on contemporary issues, associate member exhibits and a general
business meeting of the membership. The annual convention provides an invaluable
opportunity for information exchange and interaction among producer and
associate members.
Issue Seminars & Events: In addition to the annual convention, APW
organizes membership events centered around a specific contemporary issue or
activity. For example, APW has sponsored seminars on reclamation rules (NR 135)
and MSHA Part 46 regulations. APW also organizes a Legislative Day at the
Capitol at the start of each new legislative session.
Conduit Fund Administration: APW administers a political conduit fund
on behalf of its participating members. Through the operation of our conduit,
known as the “Aggregate Fund,” we strengthen our ability to work with
elected state officials on issues of concern to the association. Contact Andrea
Bennett at the APW office in Madison for more information on how the conduit
works and how you can participate.
Insurance Program: APW has endorsed a Statewide Business Insurance
Program to assist our members in obtaining more competitive insurance premiums
and coverage for worker’s compensation, automobile liability, property,
general liability, and contractor equipment. R&R Insurance was selected by
the APW Board of Directors to manage the program based on the resources and
capabilities they have to offer. The program is available statewide through
selected Independent Insurance Agencies. For more information about the
insurance program, contact Brad Stehno, R&R Insurance, 800-566-7007 or by

Quarterly Newsletter & News in Brief: APW publishes a quarterly
newsletter featuring commentary from the President, current events, legislative

significant support in offsetting newsletter costs by purchasing advertising
space. Advertising space is sold by the ¼ page and ads run for a minimum of
four issues. Contact the APW office in Madison with questions regarding the
newsletter, or for more information on reserving advertising space in future
issues. APW also publishes a News in Brief, which runs 4 times per year.

Officers, current producer and associate members, the Wisconsin State
Legislature and selected legislative and agency contacts.

recognize member companies for commitment, effort and achievement in reclaiming
excavated properties. All APW producer members are eligible to receive the
